Josephine Olok is Co‑founding Director of Vision Africa AI and a Chartered Director, Board Chair, Non‑Executive Director, and Governance Leader with over 15 years of board‑level experience across both public and private sectors. Her career spans fintech, banking, multimedia, insurance, manufacturing, oil & gas, and software industries, where she has consistently demonstrated resilience, strategic foresight, and transformative leadership.
Recognised for her strong corporate governance acumen and deep expertise in IT management, Josephine has a proven record of driving business growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. She brings to the boardroom a rare blend of AI and IT governance, risk and compliance, cybersecurity, strategy, operational resilience, policy advocacy, and organisational change management.
Her governance portfolio includes serving as Non‑Executive Director at Britam Life Uganda, United Bank for Africa (UBA), and the Uganda Manufacturers Association; Board Risk & Audit Committee Member at Vision Group; and Chair of the Financial Technology Service Provider Association of Uganda.
As Co‑Founder and Director of LumJo Consultants Ltd, Josephine provides strategic oversight on growth, policy, security, and risk, while advising clients in financial services, manufacturing, legal, and non‑profit sectors on software development, financial integration, data privacy, and compliance. Her earlier executive career saw her deliver and implement IT and digital transformation programmes across multiple countries with organisations such as Tullow Oil (Uganda & Kenya), Barclays Bank Uganda, Equity Bank Uganda, Posta Uganda, Africa Online, the UN World Food Programme (Uganda & Bosnia), and the Central Bank of Uganda.
Josephine is a Chartered Director (Institute of Directors, London) and holds advanced qualifications in Corporate, IT, AI, and ESG governance. She earned an MBA from the University of South Wales and an MSc in Advanced Computing from Imperial College London.
